The authority’s participation comes from its keenness to preserve the Emirati heritage, especially the agricultural heritage, as the authority seeks, within its goals, to support farmers by organizing a number of festivals and events that celebrate agricultural heritage in the country, such as the Liwa Wet Festival, the Liwa Dates Festival, and the Al Ain Festival for Dates organized by the authority last January, with the aim of encouraging sustainable agriculture and motivating community members to practice The heritage associated with the palm, providing a platform for exchanging experiences between farmers.
During its participation, the authority sought to shed light on the Emirati heritage crafts related to the components of the palm, through a live workshop in front of the public to introduce this ancient legacy, as the participation witnessed special offers for letter such as “wicker” and “mortar”, and “the coffee industry from the nuclei of dates”, in addition to the incense industry in which parts of the palm are used such as the palm tree, and the industry was defined “Al -Baththa”, which is one of the Emirati heritage foods that are prepared from dates, roasted flour and spices.
All the crafts that the authority presented within its participation in this great and important agricultural event contributes to enhancing the sustainability of heritage, through recycling and employing the parts of the palm tree in various industries.
