"ADNOC" It contributes to developing the skills of Emirates students in the field of artificial intelligence

Abu Dhabi, May 31 / WAM / ADNOC expanded the activities of its educational program in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics “STEM” by launching the challenge of “the future of energy and artificial intelligence for schools” affiliated with the ADNOC educational platform “STEM for Life” within the company’s social responsibility program in the education sector, in order to contribute to building students’ skills in the country and qualifying them to master the use of intelligence tools and solutions Artificial and advanced technology.

The final round of the challenge was held today, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of “ADNOC” and its group of companies, His Excellency Sarah Bint Youssef Al -Amiri, Minister of Education, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Hamid Al -Jarwan, Head of the Energy Department in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Hajar Ahmed Mohamed El -Dhahli, Secretary General of the Education and Human Development Council, Society, and happiness Khalaf Abdullah Rahma Al Hammadi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, in addition to a number of officials in “ADNOC”.

During the event, ADNOC, in cooperation with AIC, reviewed a solution “Energyai”, which is the first solution to the world’s energy sector, dependent on the systems of artificial intelligence agents, in front of students, parents and teachers.

The challenge was launched in January 2025, and 14,500 students from 351 schools from all over the country participated, and 896 teachers assisted and supported students to design, build and review innovative solutions that depend on artificial intelligence techniques within three main axes: causing a tangible and realistic impact, providing ambitious and innovative ideas that reformulate the future, or enhance communication with the local community.

These innovative solutions supported by artificial intelligence included an automatic system for purifying gray waters, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of natural resources use, in addition to the “Eco Pal” application that provides environmental advice dedicated to supporting students in making sustainable decisions within their daily activities, and the “generations” platform, which is an intelligent educational application developed in the Emirates that combines academic content and national identity, and the “ICO system Gro “, a smart agricultural solution that uses artificial intelligence techniques and microbial fuel cells extracted from soil to support sustainable agriculture in the country.

The total number of posts received by the challenge reached 1,500 posts, while 80 students qualified for the finals among 27 teams, who were evaluated by a jury after they fought intense competitive stages, where nine teams won the Golden Award, and the silver award went to nine other teams, while nine teams received the bronze prize.

On this occasion, Saif Al -Falahi, head of the group’s business support and special tasks in ADNOC .. Students of the winning teams in ‘challenging the future of energy and artificial intelligence of schools’ on their innovative ideas, creativity and their distinction with a positive mindset that focuses on finding effective solutions and said, “ADNOC is keen through its educational program in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics“ STEM ”on enabling young talents in the state Providing them with the skills and mentality necessary for prosperity and keeping pace with the future in light of the great development of tools and solutions of artificial intelligence and great dependence on them in various fields.

He added that in the context of ADNOC to become the most intelligent energy company in the world, it continues to support and sponsor the next generation of innovators who use artificial intelligence techniques to contribute to advancing the wheel of progress in the country and finding solutions to global challenges.

The participating teams in the challenge presented their projects to a jury that included representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, “ADNOC”, Khalifa University, “ADNOC Technical Academy”, the Dubai Design and Innovation Institute, and the “Microsoft” and “Nubio”.

It is noteworthy that the launch of “ADNOC” to “challenge the future of energy and artificial intelligence for schools” came with the aim of providing students with the skills necessary to keep pace with the developments of the future based on advanced technology, and harnessing the capabilities of artificial intelligence to create and enhance value and provide innovative solutions to the challenges of real life.

This challenge is in line with the UAE’s vision to establish its position as a world leading country in the field of artificial intelligence by 2031, and the state’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into the educational curricula of the academic year 2025-2026.

It is noteworthy that “ADNOC” is presented through its strategy for sustainability and social responsibility many contributions within areas such as education and training for students and professionals, and among these contributions is its program to encourage the study of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and modern software in the areas of artificial intelligence and advanced technology “STEM” which was launched in 2018 and contributed to enabling more than 350 thousand scientists and transmitters And engineers of the next generation to contribute to advancing the growth and prosperity of a national economy based on knowledge and innovation.
