المملكة: To reduce congestion .. 10 government agencies launched a guide to organizing truck movement
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing revealed the preparation of a “guide for Truck movement in the urban range, “in a move aimed at regulating heavy transportation within the cities of the Kingdom, and improving operational efficiency, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
This guide was prepared by a joint work team formed by The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing , and included in its membership nine specialized government agencies, namely: the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Municipality of the Riyadh region, the Municipality of Jeddah Governorate, the Eastern Region Municipality, the General Traffic Department, the General Transport Authority, the General Authority for Roads, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority “Sidia”, the National Center for Waste Management. The task of governing roles and responsibilities related to public transport violations, monitoring means of transportation, and developing related requirements. This comprehensive guide to setting a unified systematic framework to regulate the movement of heavy transport trucks within the urban areas, by defining the technical and organizational procedures necessary to operate them efficiently." target ="_Blank"> Traffic congestion , improving the quality of life for the population, and promoting road safety.
