The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture revealed a commercial success for the experience of harvesting three developed varieties of local wheat, which was launched by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdul Rahman Al -Fadhli last February, with a production of “8000 kilograms” per hectare, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop local varieties that are compatible with the local environment; To increase local production, and contribute to achieving the targets of food security." target ="_Blank"> Local wheat , which lasted as scientific experiments about three seasons that included three developed varieties; Two classes of “soft” wheat, a class of harsh wheat known as “diom”, and the three varieties were cultivated on an area exceeding “45” hectares in the Al -Jouf area of Al -Jouf Agricultural Development Company, using agricultural techniques, in cooperation and coordination with the Al -Ahlia Corporation with a follow -up from the seed and seeds center.
