The UAE is the world meeting on the values of coexistence and tolerance

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Undersecretary of the Filipino Migrant Ministry for employment and social welfare affairs for workers abroad, Hans Liu Kakdak, the Philippine Consul General in Dubai, Marford Angeles, and a number of Emirati officials, diplomatic, economic and social figures from the Philippine community, celebrated that was held on the occasion of 127 years of independence The Philippine Republic «Calayan 2025».
The event – hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center, and organized by the “Emirates Love Philippines” page – was in cooperation with the Dubai Police, in a large public presence, as it attracted more than 40 thousand people, from the Filipino community residing in the country, in an atmosphere that reflected the close relations that bring together the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
In his speech at the beginning of the celebration, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan congratulated the residents of the residents of the Filipino community, on the anniversary of the 127th anniversary of the independence of their country.
He emphasized that the success story of the UAE is a participatory story, as we are meeting the world on the values of coexistence and tolerance where it lives and works more than 200 nationalities side by side, in an environment of peace and prosperity, achieved thanks to the policy of openness to everyone and respecting all backgrounds, pointing out that the values of coexistence and tolerance prevail in the components of the Emirati society, and the Philippine community is an inherent component of its interconnected textiles.
He added that the UAE is proud of its close relationship with the Republic of the Philippines, as she is a close friend and a reliable partner, and he said: “For decades, and throughout our country, he left hundreds of thousands of the sons and daughters of the Philippine community that are stigmatized in various sectors.”
He explained that the achievements in the UAE came thanks to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and with continuous support from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, and from all of our national leadership, where our country adopted the principles of human brotherhood, coexistence, mercy and achievement, basic pillars of its career.
He said that our celebration today embodies this vision, and confirms that the UAE honors every culture and every legacy that embraces it on its soil, and appreciates every community that contributes to building this great country.
He added: «In this spirit of unity, integration and celebration, I would like to share with you a new national initiative close to my heart, and he explained that in my capacity as Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and in partnership with the (Fund of the Nation), I finally launched a national written competition entitled: (Our Life in the Emirates).
He stated that this initiative, which is in line with the slogan “The Year of Society”, represents an invitation addressed to everyone who lives on the land of the state – citizens, residents, youth, adults, students and professionals – to share their stories and voices.
He indicated that this competition calls on the participants to express what life represents them in the UAE, through a short story, poem, message, article, or any other creative form, in both Arabic or English.
He expressed his confidence that some of the most influential and sincere participants come from the Philippine community, from those who came carrying dreams, and built in the future, from fathers and mothers who educate their children, and from nurses, nurses, teachers, teachers, engineers, artists and creators in various fields.
He stressed that the stories of the Philippine community are important, and that the Emirati society in all its components would like to hear it.

He pointed out that the winning posts will be published in two memorial books, one in Arabic and the other in English, and the winners will be celebrated in a big party, and they will be awarded valuable prizes.
He stressed that this competition is more than just a competition, but rather represents a national heritage that reflects our common identity. In conclusion, he renewed congratulations and best wishes for the Philippine community, stressing that this generous community embodies everything that the UAE represents: courage, generosity, family spirit, ambition and belief that when we meet on one land with the multiplicity of our cultures – we are able to build a more tolerant, comprehensive, and prosperous world.
He concluded by saying: “Here I am standing today among you, I see the colors of the Philippines, I hear its tunes, and I feel its spirit … here in the heart of the Emirates, and it is pleased to share with you this celebration, and to be part of it.”
