The Kingdom builds a comprehensive preventive system that starts from childhood and contributes to raising the average life of man

The annual report for the transformation of the health sector for the year 2024 AD revealed that the Kingdom has made a qualitative way to enhance health immunity and community protection; And that is through an integrated system based on early detection, immunization, expanding awareness, and adopting a preventive health approach as a basis for care, and not a subsequent response to the disease only. The report explained that the percentage of infectious diseases targeted by lower German, nascent jazz in addition to increasing the percentage of HIV infected HIV in people.

The rate of reducing these diseases was more than 87.5%; This is due to the expansion of fortification programs, as well as comprehensive national campaigns targeting all age groups and geographical regions.

Among the most prominent initiatives in this context is the launch of the Public Health Academy as a national training platform; It aims to build preventive competencies, raise the readiness of public health cadres, and enhance applied research in the fields related to epidemics, environmental health, chronic and valid diseases, in addition to a number of initiatives; Which aims to early detection of the Kingdom’s births to ensure their safety from genetic diseases and nutritional illnesses, and a number of blood diseases that can be transmitted across generations.

The “report” also reported the inauguration of the national strategy to combat drowning; Which aims to prevent one of the most prominent causes of death among children and adolescents, through awareness programs, practical training, and cooperation with the ministries of education and sports, to include awareness within the summer curricula and activities, and the performance indicators of this initiative have been monitored through updated electronic platforms.

He explained that during the year 2024, the endeavors of health industries witnessed many services and efforts that contribute to achieving health security and self -sufficiency in the Kingdom by providing healthy industrial needs locally, where the industry of 31 products was localized and its knowledge in the Kingdom was transferred in exchange for various incentives, and to activate 17 agreements within the mandatory list of national products in the health care and pharmaceutical materials sector.

In terms of mental health and community protection, the “report” refers to the efforts of the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, including initiatives aimed at training members of society, teachers, and health employees on basic psychological support skills and rapid intervention in psychological crises, and specialized training bags and certified certificates have been developed to expand the base of societal awareness, and reduce the stigma of mental illness.

These efforts come within the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision; To enhance the prevention of health risks, improve public health, and pay attention to early detection of diseases that may threaten human health, in order to establish the transformation of the health sector in the Kingdom from a system that focuses on treatment, into a proactive preventive model.

This contributed to raising the average age in the Kingdom to 78.8 years, while the vision aims to reach this average to 80 years by 2030; Enabling a vital society and a healthy life.
