Sharjah Airport reviews its logistical services at the European Air Shipping Fair 2025

Sharjah on June 2 / WAM / The Sharjah International Airport Authority will participate in the tenth edition of the “Europe 2025 Air Shipping Exhibition”, which was launched today in Munich, and will continue until June 5, with the participation of the elite companies and institutions that are leading globally in the areas of logistics services, supply chains and air transport. The delegation of the authority participating in the exhibition is chaired by His Excellency Ali Salem Al -Midfa, Chairman of the Authority, Sharjah International Airport, accompanied by Sheikh Faisal bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of the Authority, and a number of representatives of departments in the authority.

The cannon stressed that this participation comes within the framework of the authority’s keenness to enhance its presence and expand the international markets to consolidate the position of Sharjah Airport as a distinguished regional center for air freight, where the exhibition represents a strategic opportunity to provide the airport vision on the future Growth and expansion that keeps pace with the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE’s directions in building a comprehensive economy based on innovation and knowledge.

He added that Sharjah Airport continues to develop a number of comprehensive projects to raise the capacity to more than 25 million passengers annually by the end of 2027 and enhance sustainability and integration between the shipping system and ground and air services in line with the best international standards.

The authority’s wing is witnessing an interaction of visitors and specialists that review a group of development projects that keep pace with the accelerated growth in the shipping movement, including the expansion of shipping facilities, the application of smart handling systems, advanced digitization in tracking shipments and the speed of completion.

The pavilion offers the integrated services provided by the airport, and is among the best in the region in terms of quality and reliability, taking advantage of its strategic geographical location between Asia, Europe and Africa and its connection to wide regional and international airlines.

During the participation of a series of meetings with international shipping companies, logistical services operators and technical solutions, the authority will hold cooperation opportunities in joint projects and highlight the facilities provided by the airport to investors and companies.

This participation in the global exhibition embodies the commitment of Sharjah Airport to support international supply chains and provide advanced shipping solutions, which contribute to expanding air transport networks and enhancing the connection between the continents, as Sharjah Airport recorded a remarkable growth in the air freight sector during the first quarter of 2025 by handing more than 52 thousand tons of goods along with 3000 tons through marine air freight operations.
