Warnings of leaving flammable materials inside the vehicles in the summer

Drivers have warned against leaving flammable materials inside the vehicles in the summer, such as lighters, compressed packages, woven, etc., which entails their explosion, due to high temperatures.

And the drivers of «Emirates Today» that they faced, in previous years, the incidents of the explosion of different materials inside their vehicles, while stopping in direct sunlight during the summer period, as they indicated that some people facilitate or overlook and forget tools, such as cigarette lighter and phones, inside the vehicle by virtue of their daily use, but it may pose a staring risk, due to the high temperatures in the summer.

One of them stated that he was surprised by the explosion of the cigarette lighter and its contents were scattered inside the vehicle, without causing great damage, noting the importance of not forgetting cigarettes inside the vehicles, as the high temperature leads to its explosion, and constitutes a grave danger, especially as it contains flammable gases.

Others stated that they faced similar situations, such as the explosion of their phones charging devices, or compressed packages, such as deodorants and perfumes, due to high heat, stressing the importance of increasing awareness campaigns on safety measures during the summer period.

For his part, the traffic expert, the general manager of the “Saed” association, Dr. Jamal Salem Al -Amiri, warned the drivers against leaving materials inside the vehicle during a long period of stopping under the direct sunlight in the summer, which are batteries, phones shipping devices, perfume bottles, cigarette lighters and soft drinks, sterilizers and alcoholic disinfectants, especially if they are alongside accessories inside the vehicle such as industrial leather or fur, as they may It is exposed to ignition through the extreme heat glow, as well as the bottom water packages that may be the point of the sun’s ray, which constitutes a severe thermal point that causes a fire inside the vehicle.

In a statement to «Emirates Today», Al -Amiri described these materials as time bombs inside the closed vehicle, which is parked under direct sunlight during the summer period, as it can explode at any time due to global warming, where the temperatures inside the vehicle reaches more than 60 degrees Celsius.

Al -Amiri added that leaving such materials inside the vehicle is a serious danger, as high thermal pressure may cause its explosion, which leads to material damage to the vehicle.

Al -Amiri warned of the risk of flammable compact materials, including perfume bottles, sterilizers, batteries, hewings and lighters that contain a small amount of gas.

He said: «Drivers and vehicle owners should take care of them in general, and not to leave such materials inside their vehicles during the summer period, and to ventilate the vehicle by opening the windows a little when stopping the vehicle, allowing the heat to come out and not to be retained inside the vehicle.

He pointed out that there are some other materials that should not be left inside the vehicle during the summer period, including medicines, cosmetics and foods, as high temperatures lead to their corruption and damage.


Eliminate the vehicle of flammable materials

In their summer awareness campaigns, the police and civil defense departments in the state warned against the danger of leaving flammable materials inside the vehicle, calling for the need to empty vehicles of these materials, in order to preserve their safety, and stressed that the presence of these dangerous materials inside the vehicle, especially during the daytime, and exposure to the heat and sunlight, if not directly, may lead to a disaster.

It warned of the dangers of leaving the cigarette in the car, as it may explode with the heat due to the presence of metal pieces within its components, which causes friction that causes a fire.

She warned that the extra temperature in the weather can destroy the internal cells of the phone battery, as this causes internal electrical contact, which leads to fires.
