& nbsp; In a statement, Friday evening, that the decision was approved after diplomatic efforts that lasted for years made by the Ministry and the permanent state of the State of Palestine to the United Nations in Geneva in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities, as the results of the voting came with a clear majority with 386 votes in favor of the resolution, 15 against, and 42 abstaining. & Quot & quot & quot; Until this decision gives Palestine expanded rights as an observer in the International Labor Organization, and raises its position to & quot; a non-member observer state & quot; in line with its position at the United Nations, and the decision of the United Nations General Assembly ES-10/23 issued in May 2024, and this decision balances the position of Palestine in the International Labor Organization with its membership in other agencies such as UNESCO and the World Health Organization. The decision is also based on the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the International Labor Organization, which was adopted during its 35th session in November 2024, which called for strengthening the status and participation of the State of Palestine in the work of the organization, including the attendance of the meetings of the Board of Directors, regional conferences, and technical committees. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates appreciated the positions of the countries that expressed their clear support for this decision, calling on countries that did not support the decision and isolated by their negative vote to review their positions, and to join the moral and consistent majority with international law.
