Abu Dhabi, June 7 / WAM / The Emirates Camel Racing Federation plays a pivotal role in the field of promoting camel at the local and global levels, through its continuous support for owners, and organizing various events and championships, in line with the position of the UAE in qualitative attention to heritage sports.
The Union, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, is keen to diversify his heroism and activities, present high prizes, and establish best practices in plans and programs that aim to deepen awareness of the importance of this sport.
The UAE maintains the sustainability of its global pioneering position in organizing camel races, thanks to the fields, advanced implications, integrated installations, and the great efforts made in hosting the activities of this heritage sport, and providing all requirements that distinguish and prosperity.
The camel season witnesses many festivals and championships that attract participants from inside and outside the country, as the Federation organizes several championships in friendly and sister countries, and adopts many programs that contribute to promoting passion for this sport, and its approach inspired by the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, to preserve the heritage of parents and grandparents.
The calendar of events organized by the Federation is rich in several heroism, most notably the Festival of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the Grand Zayed Award, Al Wathba Khambet, and Al Wathba Festival, in addition to other activities in Arab and African countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Chad, along with European countries such as Germany and Australia.
The Emirates Camel Federation also provides requirements that enhance the success of national federations in many countries of the world and support their ability to sustain attention to camel activities, and encourage owners to participate in tournaments.
Hamad Mohamed Al Shamsi, head of the technical committees in the Federation, said that these races have reached a major global position thanks to the support, attention and care of the wise leadership, and the follow -up of the President of the Camel Race Federation, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, in addition to the organization of various championships, has achieved a tangible impact in encouraging owners to pay attention to this heritage sport, preserve its authentic heritage, and encouraging new generations to take care of it, as a legacy National.
He praised the heritage atmosphere witnessed in the races, the wide participation of the owners, and the official, popular and media attention with the national and heritage values ​​it carries.
For his part, Mohammed Abdullah bin Aadid Al -Muhairi, from the Emirates Camel Federation, pointed out that interest in camels inside and outside the country, and the great passion for participating in various events, and ensuring that the values ​​of identity and originality in the hearts of new generations.
He said that Al -Ittihad provided the best causes, circumstances, and the encouraging environment to participate in the various championships and events, especially since the camel has great importance in the authentic Arab heritage.
Al -Muhairi stated that the march of supporting heritage sports continues through festivals and championships because its purpose is embodied in preserving the legacy of the past, deepening it in the hearts of new generations, highlighting the position of the UAE in the field of caring for this sport, transferring its sustainable legacy to other countries, encouraging owners to pay attention to camels, providing high prizes, constructing fields in different countries, and providing all requirements that contribute to preserving this The immortal heritage in the hearts of generations.
In turn, Hamed Al -Nuaimi, Director of the Media Committee, the official spokesman for the Camel of the Presidency, stressed that the Emirates Camel Racing Federation has a clear strategy in enhancing interest in this heritage sport, and providing all data to organize its championships and events.
He explained that many friendly and sister countries have succeeded in preserving this heritage heritage, thanks to the efforts made by the Federation to organize the championships in them, support the owners, and encourage them to participate in these tournaments, and enhance their passion for this sport, pointing to the great participation in the past years of camel sports lovers.
