“The joy of the feast” .. a humanitarian initiative that brings together the inmates of the reform and rehabilitation centers and their families

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department organized the “Fahji Eid” initiative, which brought together the inmates of the reform and rehabilitation centers committed to behaviorally with their families in a festive atmosphere on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al -Adha, as part of its efforts to enhance family ties and instill positive values, reflecting a reformist approach focusing on rehabilitation and preparing inmates to return the active to society.
The initiative falls within a series of programs implemented by the Judicial Department within the framework of its strategic vision aimed at developing the reform and rehabilitation system, and activating the role of the family as a basic partner in supporting the inmate, in line with the directions of the “Year of Society” 2025, aimed at consolidating the concepts of tolerance, care, psychological and social support.
The “Bahjah Al -Eid” initiative represents a practical step in the framework of programs concerned with the human aspect, and focuses on providing a stimulating environment for guests, encouraging them to have positive behavior through family meetings that contribute to enhancing a sense of safety and belonging, and opens new horizons to build a better future.
As an extension of the dimensions of the humanitarian initiative, the “joy of the feast” included organizing exceptional visits to the families of the juvenile category, within an interactive atmosphere that takes into account the age and psychological needs, in a context that embodies the interest in qualifying this group and its psychological and social support, and enabling it to restore its relationship with the family members and achieving their gradual integration in their family and societal environment.
Reform and rehabilitation centers were keen to carefully prepare initiative activities to provide appropriate conditions to build effective communication that enhances confidence and understanding between the event and his family, in line with a comprehensive approach to preparing them for safe and sustainable integration in society after the end of the rehabilitation period.
