"Human resources" and"Prevention and safety" In Sharjah, they implement a project "Business continuity programs"

Sharjah, on June 9 / WAM / The Human Resources Department in Sharjah, in cooperation with the Protection and Safety Authority, began implementing the “Business Continuing Programs” project aimed at enhancing the readiness and sustainability of the institutions of the Sharjah government in the face of crises and emergency, with the participation of representatives from various government agencies, institutions and departments in the emirate.
The implementation of the project comes within a strategic plan that extends until 2027, with the aim of building national cadres capable of leading and activating business continuity plans, which contributes to ensuring the continuity of providing vital services and enhancing the flexibility of government institutions.
The project, which is being implemented through successive training programs during the period from May to July 2025, focuses on developing institutional capabilities in the field of crisis management and restoring vital activities quickly and efficiently, as well as raising the level of awareness of the importance of institutional readiness and enhancing the ability to deal with sudden challenges.
The project includes three integrated development stages that start with the stage of preparation and awareness that deals with the basic concepts of managing business continuity and its impact on the sustainability of services, followed by the stage of practice and evaluation that includes the implementation of an applied simulation and internal audits to measure readiness and processing gaps, and the third stage concludes with empowerment and accreditation, where the participants are considered to be certified practitioners and ambassadors of business continuity within their sides.
Training programs cover a group of major axes, including business continuity management, operations management during crises, emergency and disaster management, and the foundations of internal audit.
After fulfilling the program’s requirements, the participants receive official professional licenses that allow them to carry out business continuity tasks, issued by an accredited body that follows the National Authority for Emergency, Crises and Disaster Management, in coordination with the Business Constitutional Committee in the Emirate of Sharjah and the sub -committees in government agencies, in a way that enhances the reliability of the program and gives graduates professional dependence that contributes to the consolidation of the culture of institutional readiness and response Emergency actors.
