International Games" Release "2034 Strategy ”
Lausanne on June 11/ WAM/ The International Federation of World Games «IWGA) announced the launch of its new strategy for the period from 2025 to 2034, under the title“ The Agency for the Development of World Games and the International Federation of World Games, which aims to consolidate the status of the course as a sustainable and comprehensive global sports platform that focuses on athletes.
The new strategy was revealed during the annual general meeting of the Federation, which was held in partnership with the “Quantom” consultant company, the approved technical partner of the Federation.
The Federation announced, in its statement today, that this strategy was prepared after a year’s consultations, which included member sports federations, the National Olympic committees, sports organizations, athletes, host cities, union and media partners, in addition to the Union’s leadership and executive cadres.
The strategy is based on seven main axes that include: developing the World Games, improving the experience of athletes, enhancing communication with members and partners, commercial growth, innovation in organizing events, sustainability, and institutional excellence, while these axes aim to lead a new stage of expansion and the positive positive influence.
Yan Franso, a member of the Federation’s Executive Committee, stressed that the document represents a road map for innovation, inclusiveness and distinction, with a focus on enabling athletes and enhancing cooperation with partners.
The strategy includes practical implementation mechanisms, including developing major performance indicators, submitting periodic reports, and conducting the mid -session review after the 2029 World Games scheduled in the German city of Carlserwwah, to ensure that changes in the global sports scene.
This announcement comes before the start of the next version of the global games scheduled in the Chinese city of Chengdo during the period from 7 to 17 August 2025, in which the UAE will participate in a large delegation that includes a number of different sports, and is expected to attract more than 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
It is noteworthy that the International Federation of World Games, is an organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee, and includes in its membership 40 international sports federations, and supervises the organization of the World Games, the multi -sports event that is held every four years.
