Archive and the National Library evaluate the achievements of its strategic plan and look forward to its future horizons

Abu Dhabi, June 12 / WAM / The Archives and the National Library held his leadership retreat for the year 2025, in which he reviewed the priorities of its institutional strategy 2023-2032 and discussed its plan to continue the completion of its strategy program in a way that contributes to enhancing institutional efficiency.
The retreat touched on the most prominent achievements of the previous stage, the appropriate challenges and solutions to it, and focused on the importance of inspiring the finest global practices and the most distinguished experiences.
The archive and the National Library highlighted the achievements of its departments, national initiatives and community projects that he launched in light of the directives of our rational leadership.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the Archive and the National Library, was opened with a word in which he affirmed that this retreat is not just for the review of institutional performance, but rather to formulate ambitious visions, and to define the features of a promising future for the archive and the national library, indicating that the purpose of which stems from a firm belief in the importance of the archive and the national library as a cultural and cognitive openness, and from the constant commitment to achieve the aspirations of our leadership Al -Rashida, translating its ambitious vision of the future of the UAE.
He pointed out that this retreat is a qualitative opportunity to evaluate the achievements achieved, foreseeing what is in future prospects, and standing objectively and transparently on the most prominent challenges and finding solutions to them in a way that contributes to developing and enhancing readiness for the next stage.
He explained that the archive and the national library aims from its retreat to crystallizing a unified strategic priorities, and adopting qualitative initiatives with a sustainable impact, with an integrated executive plan that covers the remainder of its strategy 2023-2032, which contributes to enhancing institutional efficiency, and achieving national targets with efficiency and competence.
He called for the consolidation of the culture of positive dialogue, the promotion of the spirit of one team, the creation of a work environment based on confidence, cooperation, integration, and flexibility, in a way that enhances the ability of the archive and the national library to keep pace with changes, interact with it, and achieve sustainable excellence.
In order to enhance the interaction and constructive communication, His Excellency Abdullah Al -Maghrabi, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Executive Committee, answered the participants’ inquiries and their questions directly, then the strategic planning office presented a presentation in which he focused on the achievements of the archive and the national library, the performance indicators of numbers, the extent of achieving strategic goals, and touched on the most important institutional achievements at the local and global levels, and focused on activating the terms of federal law No. 13 For 2021.
In turn, each administration in the archive and the national library reviewed its achievements, its preparations within the framework of future trends in the field of digital transformation to enhance competencies and production, the impact of institutional services on society, and the support of the local and international presence of the archive and the National Library.
At the end of the leadership retreat of the archive and the national library, which was held at the Anwar Gargash Academy, the priorities of the next strategic session were approved based on the discussions and outputs of the retreat.
