The Ministry of Finance graduates citizen cadres in financial sustainability and government accounting

Dubai, June 12 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance announced the graduation of 100 federal government employees who successfully completed a series of programs and specialized diplomas in the areas of financial sustainability and government accounting, during a ceremony organized by Dubai today.
This step reflects the Ministry’s continuous commitment to preparing citizenship competencies capable of leading the future of public financial management in the country, as it comes within the framework of a comprehensive project launched by the Ministry to build the capabilities of financial cadres in the federal government, in a way that enhances its readiness for the future and establishes best practices in financial management at the level of the federal government, according to the highest global standards.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Government Financial Management Sector in the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Kyle Long, President of the American University in Dubai, and Lucia Martin, Executive Director of the Department of Relations Affairs at the British Accredited Legal Accountants Association, and a number of directors of departments in the federal authorities and representatives of academic and international professional institutions.
The assistant undersecretary for the government financial management sector said that this achievement reflects the Ministry’s continuous commitment to developing human capital, and enabling it to tools and knowledge that keeps pace with the rapid variables in public accounting and financial, according to best practices and international standards, noting that, these specialized programs represent a basic pillar in developing the financial work system, establishing concepts of governance and sustainable digital transformation, and achieving the strategic goals of the UAE government in the field of Public financial management.
The President of the American University affirmed the university’s keenness to continue its partnership with the Ministry of Finance to support national competencies in the areas of artificial intelligence, financial technologies and sustainable policies, pointing out that the program is compatible with the goals of the UAE government in qualifying national cadres, enhancing financial competence, and achieving digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
The Executive Director of Relations at the British Accredited Legal Accountants Association said that the participants have gained in -depth visions in the fields of financial management, governance, sustainability and digital transformation, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the concept of lifelong learning, which has become an urgent necessity in a world that changes at an accelerated pace.
