The King of Bahrain receives Al -Zyoudi Second in Manama

Manama, on June 12/ WAM/ His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the brother of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain today at the Safariya Palace, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, during his official visit to the Bahraini capital, Manama, at the head of a delegation from the country that includes a number of senior officials, business leaders and representatives of a group of major Emirati companies.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “may God bless him” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Court, to His Majesty the King of Bahrain and their wishes for the sister Kingdom of Bahrain and its people more prosperity and prosperity.

For his part, His Majesty, His Excellency Al -Zyoudi, held his greetings to the wise leadership and wishes of the UAE government and people with more development, growth and prosperity … stressing the depth of the established brotherly relations that link the two brotherly countries and their leaders and peoples and joint keenness to advance sustainable development efforts towards achieving more progress, development and prosperity.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi expressed his sincere thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the hospitality and warm reception that reflects the authentic values rooted in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and his constant keenness to support the paths of joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields and sectors, especially commercial, investment and development.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the strategic partnership paths in the commercial and investment fields between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, and ways to develop them to serve the common development goals of the two countries, and their aspirations to continue the progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Excellency Mohammed Salem bin Kordou Al -Amiri, the UAE ambassador to Bahrain.

On the other hand, His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi held two meetings with His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss ways to enhance the paths of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, in conjunction with the entry of an agreement to protect and encourage investment in effect on the eighth of last May.

The two sides expressed their aspiration to achieve the business community and the private sector in the two brotherly countries the best benefit from this agreement and other agreements signed between the two countries, by building more commercial and investment partnerships that contribute to achieving mutual economic growth.

During the two meetings, construction methods were discussed on the flourishing trade and investment relations between the two countries to achieve more joint economic growth, as non -oil inter -trade witnessed record growth in 2024 by 23% in 2024 to 33.9 billion dirhams, and the UAE maintained its position as the third largest investor in Bahrain globally, with a share of 10% of the cumulative balances of direct investments in Bahrain.
