Maktoum bin Mohammed discusses with Nawaf Salam enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, met today with the Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, Dr. Nawaf Salam, as part of the World Government Summit 2026. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon by developing partnerships in areas that support development and stability paths in the region.

His Highness said in a blog post on his official account on the (X) platform: “We believe that joint Arab action is an Emirati priority and a cultural necessity, and that building the future begins by putting challenges on the dialogue table, and creating opportunities instead of waiting for them… Today we see world leaders meeting in Dubai to discuss ways of development and managing the future’s direction towards leadership.”
