The General Assembly of the Basketball Federation adopts the amendment of the statute and the election list
Dubai, June 15 / WAM / The General Assembly of the Emirates Basketball Federation approved a set of important decisions related to the new season, in addition to adopting the upcoming electoral process procedures.
This came during the regular and unusual general assemblies of the Federation yesterday in Dubai, with the participation of representatives of the 19 clubs under the umbrella of the Federation, in the presence of Abdullatif Al -Fardan, Vice President of the Federation, and Omar Khalaf, representative of the Ministry of Sports.
The ordinary general assembly witnessed the discussion of a number of items, most notably the consensus unanimously on the joining of the Jorvakkan Sports Clubs for Women and Al -Zaid Al -Sports for Women to the membership of the Federation.
As for the extraordinary association, it witnessed the discussion and adoption of amending the statute of the federation in line with the governance guide for sports federations, in addition to adopting the amendment of the election list, and the formation of the election committees and electoral appeals, provided that the election committee holds a meeting soon to determine the road map for the upcoming electoral process for the board of directors.
Regarding the new season’s cabinet, Abdul Latif Al -Fardan explained that the failure to announce a fixed schedule for the season until now is due to the presence of variables, including waiting for the dates of the national team entitlements to the Asian Federation, as well as the participation of Sharjah, champions of the league, Al -Ahly youth, the Gulf champion, in the next version of the Asian Championship.
