Dubai World Chamber opens a new representative office in Canadian Toronto

Dubai, June 18 / WAM / The Dubai World Chamber, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, opened today a new representative office in the Canadian city of Toronto, its first in North America, in a move that reflects the Chamber’s commitment to enhancing joint economic relations, and exploring commercial and investment opportunities between Dubai and Canada.
His Excellency Manner Sido, Minister of International Trade in Canada, and His Excellency Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Board of Dubai Chambers, attended the office, in the presence of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Ali Al Niyadi, the country’s ambassador to Canada, and a crowd of leaders and representatives of the business community in the city of Toronto and other Canada.
The new office is a basic step towards achieving the “Dubai Global” initiative to launch 50 international representative offices for the room by 2030.
This initiative aims to strengthen the role of Dubai as a leading global business center, attract foreign direct investment to the emirate, and support Dubai companies in 30 priority markets worldwide.
His Excellency Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said that the opening of the office in Toronto is an important step towards strengthening economic relations between Dubai and Canada, and that the new office will be a strategic platform linking the companies of the two sides, and it facilitates the flow of inter -investment, and the opening of new channels for bilateral trade.
He stressed the commitment to support Canadian companies to take advantage of the opportunities available in Dubai as a gateway to global markets, and to ensure that Dubai -based companies are based on exploring new opportunities in the Canadian market.
The opening of the Toronto office comes at a time when commercial and economic relations between Canada and Dubai are a remarkable growth, as the value of Dubai’s non -oil trade with Canada reached 10.2 billion dirhams during the past year, while the total number of Canadian companies registered in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership at the end of last year reached 4112 companies, with an annual growth of 29% compared to the year 2023, while the first quarter of this year witnessed the joining of 289 new Canadian companies to the joining of The room membership.
The representative office in Toronto will play a vital role in supporting companies in Dubai and Canada, and working closely with the Canadian business community, to enhance relations with the main stakeholders in the public and private sectors, as well as promoting the competitive advantages that Dubai abounds as a global business destination.
At the same time, the office will provide valuable information on the Dubai market, support Canadian companies that seek to consolidate their presence in the emirate, expand them to global markets, and will support Dubai -based companies and plan to expand Canada; This includes providing them with valuable visions about the Canadian market, and helping them to identify trade and investments opportunities, and linking these companies to reliable local partners to facilitate the entry of their services to this market and expand their operations smoothly.
