530 medals and 17 championships are the tally of individual games at Sharjah Club during 2025

Sharjah, April 14 / WAM / The Individual Games Department of the Sharjah Club announced the achievement of 530 colored medals at the level of individual games, excluding swimming, and 17 team championships, with 14 championships in karate, and one championship each for judo, table tennis and taekwondo, from the beginning of the 2025 season until now.

Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri, member of the Board of Directors and Head of the Individual Games Department, confirmed that the club places among its strategic priorities sustainability and building generations of champions, with the aim of reaching the Olympic Games with the national teams, by discovering talents starting from the age of four, and qualifying players according to the best modern practices to enhance their competitiveness.

He added that the club aims to reach the 28th title during the current season, explaining that the club, in cooperation with the various national federations, seeks to improve the quality of the system and achieve distinguished results at various levels, and prepare players to participate in the Olympic Games.

He pointed out that the club’s players achieved outstanding results in foreign tournaments with the national teams during the recent period, with anticipation for player Nasser Al-Zwain’s participation with the Taekwondo team in the 2026 World Championship in Uzbekistan, pointing out that the number of club players in the ranks of the national teams, excluding jiu-jitsu and swimming, has reached 45 players.

He explained that the club is preparing to compete in about 10 remaining tournaments during the current season in karate, bow and arrow, cycling, and taekwondo, with ambitions to compete for their titles, praising the continuous support from the Sharjah Sports Council and the club’s Board of Directors, headed by His Excellency Mohammed bin Hindi, to develop individual games and provide the requirements for achieving the best results.
