“It was not in an easy situation.”

Al Ain Club coach, Vladimir Evic, defended his team’s goalkeeper, despite receiving five clean goals in the last match against Juventus in the Club World Cup currently held in the United States of America, stressing that the goalkeeper was not in an easy position during the course of the meeting.

Al -Ain lacked during this match to balance and organization, especially in the backlines. The defense, which was clearly the weakest link, revealed large spaces that the “old lady” players exploited intelligently and smoothly, while the Portuguese goalkeeper, Roy Patricio, seemed unable to the Italian offensive flood.

The loss caused the team’s occupation of the last position without balance, while the seventh group leads the Italian Juventus team, followed by Manchester City secondly, and Moroccan Wadad third.

Evic, at the press conference after the meeting, admitted the difficulty of confrontation against Juventus, noting that the result of the match reflects the differences in experience and preparation, but at the same time, it represents an opportunity to learn and develop.

He said: “We were fully aware that our mission would not be easy, and we made everything we could on the field, but we made some mistakes, especially at the beginning of the meeting, and we gave them excessive confidence that contributed to scoring early goals.”

He added: «The result may seem harsh, but this is football. We made individual mistakes, and we will analyze them with the players. The championship is still in its infancy, and we have to show a strong reaction. ”

The coach confirmed that the team is present in a group that includes two of the most powerful European teams, which was clear from the start. He added, “We now have to focus on hospitalization and equipping them in the best possible way for the next two matches.”

Despite the difficulty of the launch, the coach seemed to be attached to the hope to improve the image, and is determined to show a strong reaction in the upcoming rounds, especially against Manchester City, as he said: “We know completely who we will face in the next round. Manchester City is among the best teams in Europe. We have to be more coherent and offer our best defensive and offensive performance. ”

The coach also defended the goalkeeper, Roy Patricio, stressing that he was not in an easy position, saying: “Patricio has great experience and came to help us. Everyone in the team works hard and shows a great commitment, and I cannot blame anyone. We faced an experienced team and excelled technically and physically, and this is the reality that we have to deal with. ”

Evic concluded his statements to express his confidence in the team’s ability to return, despite the difficult start, saying: “We are still at the heart of the competition, and the ambition has not changed. We trust our players, and we will work hard to prepare for the next confrontation as required. ”
