The start of the fifth season of the program "Small promising" In Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah on June 20 / WAM / The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah announced the launch of the fifth season of the “Small Promising 2025” program, which comes in conjunction with the start of the summer vacation for schools.

The program, whose first version was launched in 2019, seeks to build a promising generation of talented and aspirations able to enter the world of trade and sustainability in it, by providing them with the basic skills required in entrepreneurship, marketing, planning, design, and other important skills.

Aisha Obaid, the director of the Department of Business Development in the department, pointed out that “the small promising” represents a golden opportunity for school students to enter the world of trade and entrepreneurship on the one hand and exploit the summer vacation with feasible activities on the other hand because of the program of the skills, knowledge, theoretical and practical experiences acquired by students.

The department, represented by the Business Development Department, receives those wishing to register for this program from both sexes between the ages of 14 and 17 years according to certain criteria and conditions, and students will undergo three main stages extending from July to August of the current summer season.

Aisha Al -Ayeh explained that the first stage of the program is based on a number of workshops and training courses in marketing, photography and media, feasibility study, electronic platform management, and other skills necessary for entrepreneurship, while the second stage focuses on practical, technical and marketing skills that will support subscribers in their business, where students are divided into groups to be trained in commercial facilities in the emirate with its various economic activities.

She noted that the third and closing stage (entrepreneurship) is considered the culmination of the previous two stages, and the organization of the department will witness the “Small Promising” exhibition in one of the major commercial centers in Ras Al Khaimah, which is a real practical experience in entering the business world, through which the participants review their products to society using all the knowledge and skills that were acquired during the program.

Based on criteria such as product quality, marketing, width, customer handling skills, etc. The department evaluates commercial subscribers skills, and the winners are chosen and honored at the conclusion of the exhibition.

It is noteworthy that the Economy of Ras Al -Khaimah exempted the employees of the small promising program in the previous seasons of licensing fees to encourage them to practice and continue commercial work and build a successful generation of young men and women.
