DUBAI, 27 JANUARY / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development is participating in the “Gulfood 2026” exhibition held at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai, as it is keen to involve a group of distinguished business leaders to showcase Emirati products and expertise in the food and beverage sector.
The corporation strengthens its tenth consecutive presence at the exhibition, as the UAE pavilion at the Dubai Exhibition Center showcases the most prominent emerging Emirati companies in the food and beverage sector, including a main group that includes 10 of the corporation’s distinguished members in this sector.
This participation confirms the emirate’s commitment to enhancing the ability of local companies to compete globally, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033.
The UAE pavilion in this edition of the exhibition presents an interactive model based on Emirati hospitality and cultural values.
By organizing visitor traffic in a buyer-oriented manner and unique storytelling, the pavilion allows visitors to explore brands, meet founders and engage in meaningful business conversations.
For the first time, the exhibition witnesses the presence of all pavilions of participating countries within the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai, which contributes to highlighting the participants and aligning their presence with the importance of the distinguished location of Expo 2020 Dubai, which has become a global symbol of innovation, keeping pace with the future and inspiring stories.
As the largest food and beverage supply exhibition in the world, Gulfood provides important opportunities for Emirati entrepreneurs to communicate with an international group of companies, buyers, suppliers, and government and trade delegations, in addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge regarding the growing food and beverage sector in Dubai, which is an essential pillar of the emirate’s economy.
Ahmed Al-Roum Al Muhairi, Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, said that under the guidance of the wise leadership, the Foundation continues to empower local companies by providing them with all forms of support that enable them to strengthen their brands locally, regionally and globally, noting that the Gulfood exhibition provides an ideal platform for Emirati entrepreneurs to communicate directly with buyers and partners and invest in opportunities to enter promising markets.
As part of the Foundation’s efforts to integrate Emirati entrepreneurs and talents into the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the Foundation seeks to facilitate the launch of 8,000 new Emirati companies by 2033, which will raise the total number of supported companies to 27,000 companies, compared to 19,000 companies at the end of 2024.
Small and medium enterprises represent about 95 percent of the total private sector companies operating in Dubai, which confirms their vital role in driving economic diversification and sustainable growth.
By linking Emirati companies to global markets, the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development works to transform local innovation into cross-border opportunities and consolidate the emirate’s presence as a leading destination for entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth.
