The UAE recounts its chapters of vision for global tolerance and peace at the Beijing Book Fair
Beijing on June 21 / WAM / The United Arab Emirates Pavilion at the Beijing International Book Fair, a comprehensive cultural platform that offered the world the deep human vision on which the state’s march is based in promoting the values of global tolerance and peace, as it presented to the public a bouquet of the latest intellectual and heritage publications documenting this approach.
The message of peace as a university value emerged in the heart of the Emirati participation, where the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, under the slogan “The legacy of Zayed: Permanent search for peace”, presented a set of its basic documents that were translated into multiple languages, foremost of which is the Chinese version of the “Human Brothers Document”.
Dr. Amna Al -Shehhi, Director of the Forum Office, explained that the pavilion also includes pivotal publications such as “Marrakech Historical Declaration”, “Abu Dhabi Citizenship Declaration” and “The Charter of the New Curiosity Alliance”, which is unanimous in establishing peace as a high value of humanity.
The released publications dealt with multiple aspects of the state’s thought and leadership, as the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research reviewed the book “Mohammed bin Zayed and Education” and the book “Zayed .. Man of Tolerance”, while the “Trends Center for Research and Consulting” presented modern and prominent publications, including the book “The Age of Pearls: from poverty to prosperity”, and strategic study “the use of games theory in developing strategies Anti -terrorism.
On the academic and humanitarian aspect, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities participated in specialized publications such as “The Aesthetic Creativity” and “Introduction to the History of Religions”, while the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat contributed to a set of valuable publications.
The ancient Emirati heritage and history did not lose sight of the scene, as the archive and the national library presented a variety of distinctive heritage books, most notably “forts and castles in the UAE”, and “in the heart of the desert: fifty years in the Al Ain Oasis” and “The Evolution of Education in the Emirates”, and the Sharjah Book Authority offered a group of books of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Participation was not limited to the presentation of books, but the pavilion, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Association of Emirati Publishers, turned into a vital interactive forum, and the pavilion witnessed prominent dialogue sessions, the most important of which is today’s session organized by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat entitled “Mohammed bin Zayed … the man of humanity”, which highlighted the deep visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of the state, “may God protect him.” And his global contributions to promoting peace and humanitarian work, and the pavilion also hosted an important session on “artificial intelligence and the formation of cultural and cognitive future” with the participation of Emirati and Chinese thinkers.
Visitors to the exhibition were briefed on a documentary film on the unique experience of the Emirates in peaceful coexistence, and they participated in workshops on promoting dialogue between cultures, which made the state wing a cognitive and civilizational attraction, providing an integrated image of a country that starts from its original heritage towards a future based on peace and knowledge openness.
