Abu Dhabi, June 22/ WAM/ The Zayed Upper Foundation for People of Determination has achieved a new global achievement that embodies the leadership of the UAE in empowering the owners of determination and integrating them into innovative areas.

The Foundation announced that nine of its employees obtained the “Parista” certificate approved by the World Coffee Organization (SCA) – the first level, thus becoming the first persons of determination in the world to obtain this prestigious professional certificate in the field of specialized coffee.

The owners of the achievement work in the “Café of the Bee” of the Foundation, which is the first cafe in the UAE to be fully managed by the owners of determination.

The nine associates underwent an intense professional training program that spanned several months, which included theoretical and practical aspects, and included their training in coffee preparation, taste, roasting, fermentation, and dealing with barrest tools according to the highest international standards.

The program was organized in cooperation with accredited training agencies from the World Coffee Organization, which enabled the participants to pass all the technical tests with full success.

This achievement is the culmination of the march of the “Café of the Bee” project, one of the most prominent economic empowerment initiatives implemented by the Zayed Upper Foundation.

The café was officially launched in 2022 with the aim of providing a real work environment for people of determination, and their passion for coffee is converted into accredited professional skills, and sustainable job opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The project is characterized by an integrated qualification system, which includes field training, developing communication and customer service, and self -management, which makes it a realistic model of societal integration and economic independence.
