The UAE signs an agreement to join the Islamic Cooperation Organization Fund to support the Sahel Youth and Lake Chad

Istanbul on June 22 / WAM / The United Arab Emirates signed the agreement to join the Islamic Cooperation Organization Fund for Youth Support in the Sahel and Lake Chad, during the meeting of the fifty -first session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Organization held in Istanbul during the period from 21 to 22 June 2025.
His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murr, Minister of State, signed the joining agreement.
The UAE’s signing of the fund’s articles of association, which is based in Nouakchott, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance Islamic cooperation and support sustainable development in the most needy regions.
The fund aims to empower young people in the Sahel region and Lake Chad by integrating youth into development and enhancing the approach of moderation and moderation to confront extremism and terrorism by enhancing mild understanding of Islam, and reducing poverty rates through youth operating and training programs.
