Asia Futsal Futsal Qualifiers will be organized next Thursday

Kuala Lumpur on June 23 / WAM / The Asian Football Confederation will reveal next Thursday the features of the journey of the teams in the Asian Futsal Cup qualifiers “Indonesia 2026”, during the official drawing ceremony scheduled for three in the evening Kuala Lumpur, at the AFC headquarters in the Malaysian capital.
31 countries, including the UAE, confirmed their participation in the eleventh edition of the qualifiers, which will be held in the collected league system during the period from 20 to 24 September. Where the teams will be distributed in eight groups, seven of which include four teams, while the eighth group includes only three teams.
The official website of the Asian Football Confederation stated in a statement today, that 16 teams will participate in the championship finals, including Indonesia, which qualified automatically as the host country, while the eight group champions join, in addition to the best seven teams with second place.
The qualifiers for the first time witness the participation of the Bangladesh and Pakistan teams, while the teams of Iran, Japan, Thailand and Uzbekistan are seeking to maintain its ideal record by participating in all copies of the championship since its inception.
In a precedent, the first of its kind, the classifications of teams will be adopted in drawing the lottery based on the last world rankings issued by the FIFA for men’s Futsal Futsal on April 4. The teams will be distributed to four main levels, in addition to a special classification for the hosting countries.
The first level includes Iran (5), Thailand (11), Japan (13), Uzbekistan (23), Vietnam (31), Afghanistan (33), Kuwait (40), and Iraq (41); The second level includes Tajikistan (44), Kyrgyzstan (48), Saudi Arabia (50), Australia (52), Lebanon (53), Myanmar (56), South Korea (70), and Malaysia (76).
It includes the third level according to the “FIFA” classification, the teams of both China (79), China Taipei (82), Bahrain (83), UAE (97), Maldif (106), East Timor (109), Mongolia (112), Macao (115), while it includes the fourth level.
Hong Kong (118), Brunei (119), Palestine (121), Cambodia (125), India (135), Bangladesh (not classified), and Pakistan (not classified).
As for the classification of the hosts, it includes the teams of Thailand (11 / first level), Kuwait (40 / first level), Tajikistan (44 / level second), Kyrgyzstan (48 / second level), Saudi Arabia (50 / second level), Myanmar (56 / second level), Malaysia (76 / second level), and China (79 / third level).
