"National Human Rights" and"Arab Charter Committee" Looking for cooperation
Abu Dhabi, June 23 / WAM / The National Authority for Human Rights, and the Arab Charter for Human Rights, discussed ways to develop joint cooperation, enhance coordination with regard to the mechanisms of implementing the “Charter”, and pushing forward with institutional efforts towards adopting best practices in the field of promoting basic rights and freedoms.
This came during the reception of His Excellency Maqsoud Cruz, Chairman of the Commission, and a delegation from the committee, chaired by its Chairman, Chancellor Mohamed Al -Shehhi.
The delegation listened to a detailed explanation about the most prominent tasks and powers of the authority as an independent national party, and the pivotal role it plays in supporting and strengthening the human rights agenda in the UAE, in line with international and regional standards and relevant national legislation.
