" Abu Dhabi Marine Sports" The “Noukhada Abu Dhabi” program is launched with the participation of 200 sailors
Abu Dhabi, June 23 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, announced the launch of the “Nukhta Abu Dhabi” program on June 30, which will continue for two months with the participation of more than 200 sailors and those interested in sport of sail.
The program aims to spread the culture of sailing sailing between emerging generations and enhance young people’s association with the Emirati marine heritage, by training them in the basic skills of sailing and leading bearings, and qualifying them to participate in the 22 -foot sailosight races.
The program also focuses on discovering young talents through specialized teams that follow and evaluate the participants, in preparation for their rehabilitation to compete in categories of 43 and 60 feet, which contributes to ensuring the continuity of heritage sport and graduating a new generation of Nakhuda who are able to continue carrying the marine legacy.
The training sessions of the program will be held weekly on the beach of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, in a specific time frame, and under the supervision of specialized trainers.
The launch of “Noukhada Abu Dhabi” comes within the framework of the strategic vision of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, aimed at preserving the Emirati maritime heritage and presenting it in a modern form that is in line with the aspirations of youth, and is consistent with the directions of the rational leadership in supporting heritage sports, coinciding with the announcement of the year 2025 years for society.
