The UAE welcomes the ceasefire between Iran and Israel

The UAE welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel, expressing the hope that this development will be a step towards reducing escalation and creating a supportive environment for regional stability.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciated the diplomatic efforts made by the President of the United States of America Donald Trump, and the constructive role played by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prince of the sisterly State of Qatar in facilitating reaching this agreement, stressing the importance of continuing active coordination to prevent further escalation, and avoiding its humanitarian and security repercussions in the region.

The UAE affirmed its steadfast stance, which calls for the need to control and prevail in political solutions and dialogue, and spare the region more conflicts that hinder development opportunities and threaten the security of its peoples.

The state renewed its commitment to work with its regional and international partners in order to establish peace pillars and enhance security, stability and development in the region and the world.
