More than 300 people died due to malaria in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe registered at least 317 deaths due to malaria since the beginning of this year. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Health in Zimbabwe attributed the reasons for the high cases of disease outbreaks this year to increased rainfall, fluctuating temperatures and increasing external economic activities, which increased exposure to mosquitoes.

It is noteworthy that the World Health Organization indicated that the African continent witnessed (95%) of the deaths of malaria, which was recorded around the world during the year 2023, and reached (597) thousand cases.
