The President of the State and the Emir of Qatar are discussing in Doha the brotherly relations and developments in the region
Doha, on June 25/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, discussed with his brother His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, today, the brotherly relations and joint work to enhance them for the good of the two countries and their two brotherly peoples, in addition to the developments of the situation in the middle east and the efforts made to achieve peace and stability in a way that brings all their people.
This came during the reception of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, his brother, His Highness the President of the State, who is on a fraternal visit to Qatar to enhance the established bonds that link the two countries and their two brotherly peoples.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments of common concern, foremost of which is the current situation in the Middle East, following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel.
Where His Highness the President of the State in this context praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in facilitating the arrival of the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, stressing His Highness the importance of concerted international efforts and joint coordination, to create ways to preserve the security and stability of the region.
His Highness renewed the solidarity of the UAE with the State of Qatar and its standing alongside the siblings in it following the attack that targeted its territory, stressing His Highness the state’s support for all the measures taken by Qatar to preserve its sovereignty, security and safety of its people.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State for his sincere feelings towards the Qatari people, appreciating the position of the UAE and its solidarity with the State of Qatar, following the military targeting of its lands.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening the paths of dialogue and diplomatic solutions, as they are the only way to overcome the crises of the region and maintain regional and global security.
The meeting was attended by the accompanying delegation of His Highness the President of the State, which includes His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and a number of ministers and senior officials.
It was also attended by Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Prince and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of His Highness the Sheikhs, ministers and officials.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan left the State of Qatar, where he was at the forefront of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and a number of elders and senior officials.
