The success of the first process using the “hydrostatic reflux” technology for a child in the maternity and children hospital in Tabuk

A medical team in the maternity and children’s hospital, which is affiliated with the Tabuk Health Assembly, recorded a qualitative medical achievement after its success in conducting an accurate intervention of a rare and complex condition of a five -month -old child, who was suffering from acute intestinal obstruction. The treating medical team explained that the child reached the emergency department while he was in critical condition, where diagnostic tests revealed that he had a telescopic intestinal obstruction (InTussusception), an emergency medical condition that requires immediate intervention to avoid serious complications.

According to the team, the intervention was made urgently through a non -surgical procedure using the technique of “hydrostatic” technology, which is a modern technology that allows the reflux of the mantle of the intestine to its normal position without the need for surgery, which is an important development in the techniques of medical intervention in children.

The process – thanks to God – was completely successful, as the child’s condition quickly settled, and began breastfeeding on the same day, to leave the hospital the next day while he was in a stable health condition.

This is the first of its kind that is implemented with this technique in the maternity and children hospital in Tabuk, in a move that embodies the development of the health care level in the health assembly, and contributes to reducing surgical intervention rates and improving the results of treatment for sick children.
