Global destinations receive citizens with new entry facilities

International destinations recently spoke of procedures for entering the citizens of the UAE, adding several advantages and facilities, including increasing the duration of the residence, and facilitating the obtaining of the travel permit electronically within a short period of time.

The UAE passport this year maintained its first position, as the most powerful passport in the world, according to the “Passport Index”, which is affiliated with the Arton Capital International Financial Consulting, which is an interactive system that is concerned with classifying the passport power of 198 countries around the world.

According to the latest update of the global index, the Emirati passport, which is currently holding to travel to 179 countries without the need for a prior visa (132 countries without a visa, and 47 countries that can be obtained upon arrival).

The UAE passport enables citizens to travel to more than 90% of the countries of the world, out of 198 countries listed in the index, while the number of countries that require pre -visa is limited to 19 countries.

This classification depends on the number of travel destinations to which citizens of a specific country can travel, without issuing a visa in advance, or obtaining the visa upon reaching the intended destination.

And the state embassies abroad announced, during the recent period, the update of the procedures for the travel of citizens to a number of international destinations, calling on travelers to follow up “updates of travel procedures on the website or smart application of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised the citizens of the state who wish to travel to register in the service of “my presence”, through the official website of the Ministry or the smart application, where the service enables the ministry and its missions abroad to communicate with the citizens of the state in emergency and crises, while traveling and their presence abroad and providing assistance to them.

Many citizens are preparing to travel to different external destinations, with the start of school leave and the entry of the summer season, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keen on the safety of the citizens of the state in the countries they go to, and ensure their safe return to the Emirates.

Finally, the Embassy of the UAE in Tokyo announced the extension of the period of the survival of the citizens of the UAE in Japan from regular passports holders, to 90 days instead of 30 days in force.

The embassy said through its official account on «X»: “Starting from the beginning of next July, the Emirati traveler can stay in Japan for the purposes of tourism or work for a period of 90 days, for the holders of the regular passport that contains an electronic chip (IC).” It called on Emirati travelers to follow up on travel procedures updates by visiting the travel instructions page according to each destination, available on the website or smart application of the Ministry.

Finally, the Emirates Mission in Bangkok announced that the Kingdom of Thailand applied the digital access card system (TDAC), instead of the paper migration model (TM6), starting from the first of last May.

The embassy stated through its official account on “Instagram” that “within the framework of the strong bilateral relations that brings together the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Thailand, and extends for decades of close cooperation and joint understanding at various levels, the mission announces that the Thai authorities started from the first of last May applying the digital access card system, and the Emirati traveler will be able to register via the website (TDAC.IMMIGRIGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAGRAOTHOTH), and that before the date Traveling with a maximum of three days, with the need to enter personal data, passport information, flight details, and place of residence in Thailand, in addition to healthy approval to obtain a quick response code (QR Code), which must be presented to the immigration employee upon arrival.

She indicated that the advantages of the new system include the ability to register on behalf of other individuals three days before arrival, and the flexibility of data updating at any time before traveling.

The registration process includes five steps, starting to enter the website, then fill out a form with the required data, enter residence data in the country, with health acknowledge and receive confirmation via e -mail, and finally submit an electronic confirmation message, a quick response code, and travel documents upon arrival.

The permissible period for citizens to remain for the purpose of tourism is 60 days, with the possibility of extending an additional month, treatment 90 days, and studying 90 days.

The United Kingdom has spoken to citizens ’entry procedures starting from the first of February 2024, as citizens of the UAE can apply for an electronic travel permit (ETA), according to the new electronic travel permit program launched by the United Kingdom.

At a cost of 10 pounds, the citizens of the UAE travelers to the United Kingdom can obtain an electronic travel permit for a period of two years within a maximum of three working days, through the application (UK ETA), or the British government website www.gov.uk, with the possibility of traveling to the Kingdom for an unlimited number of visits during this period and for a period of stay not exceeding six months for a single visit.

According to travel guidelines on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, the permissible period for citizens to remain for the purpose of tourism, study, work or treatment reaches a maximum of six months during one year. In the event of an extension of the treatment period for more than six months, the United Arab Emirates mission in London can be communicated.
