Archive and the National Library organize a training course on preparing a documentation plan in government agencies

Abu Dhabi, July 2 / WAM / Archives and the National Library systems are a virtual training course for government agencies in the UAE, aiming to train specialists on how to prepare the tools used in document management and in particular the mechanism for preparing a plan to save documents that helps to determine the duration of the confirmation of documents in each of its age stages in the government agency, which is a way to track documents since its inception and control the permanent preservation process or get rid of the documents without interest.
The course, presented by Ahmed Mujab, the archiving expert, shed light on the document management system, the problem of documents in modern management, and explained the details of the documentation plan, their importance, its goals and the way to prepare them, and reviewed the status of the plan in the executive regulations of the Archives Law and the National Library.
The training course presented a plan to preserve joint documents in the federal government agencies, which was prepared by the archive and the national library, by which the similar documents are determined in all government agencies in order to control the process of disposal.
This technical and legal tool allows government agencies to follow up the periods of retaining the documents they produce and receive, based on their value and legal requirements, and determines the final fate for them, whether by permanent preservation of the archive and the national library or the destruction in accordance with the approved legal procedures.
Participants in the course showed great interest in this type of events that contribute to developing their professional capabilities in their field of specialization and work.
