The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah’s support for the 2026 Art Festival strengthens the emirate’s role as a global center for creativity

Ras Al Khaimah, 25 January / WAM / The team at Design Gallery, the fine art gallery in Ras Al Khaimah, expressed its appreciation for the great support provided by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for the “Ras Al Khaimah Art 2026” Festival, which reflects the emirate’s ambitious vision to enhance the cultural scene by hosting and organizing the most prominent artistic events, which contributes to consolidating its position as a center for creativity and the arts. And international talent, as the Ras Al Khaimah Biennial was launched this year.
Engineer Tariq Ibrahim Al-Salman, founder of the Design Gallery, thanked the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Public Policy Research for providing the gallery with the opportunity to participate in the annual edition of the festival, the leading artistic and cultural event in the region, which is held under the slogan “Civilizations” in the heritage village of Al-Jazira Al-Hamra.
He pointed out that the festival is a cultural platform that celebrates creative people from all over the world, and since its inception has contributed to strengthening the emirate’s position as a regional and global destination for art and human creativity. The Al Qasimi Foundation has allocated a restored heritage house bearing the number 13 named Qadib bin Jassim Al Zaabi to the “Design Gallery” family, to display the works of the artists Amina Khalfan Al Jarman Al Ali, and the photographer and chemical engineer Zainab Ali Ahmed Abdullah Al Balushi, who explore… Throughout their works, the concepts of memory, place, and identity; Amina presents a series documenting the Sidroh area in Ras Al Khaimah through video, photography, and a survey of discovered objects, revealing the history of underground burials.
In a related context, yesterday evening, the village market witnessed the opening of a plastic exhibition under the supervision of the artist Hakim Al-Hajj, which included 45 artworks in which 27 artists representing 12 nationalities participated, including: Tariq Al-Salman, Shukri Al-Sir, Nevin Abu Samra, Diana Arturian, Aisha Ahmed Al-Dhahouri, Nasha Maryam, Fatima Al-Rumaithi, Jamila Al-Salman, Bashayer Al-Tamimi, Abdullah Al-Hashemi, Michaela Suleiman, Hessa. Al Hammadi, Rawda Al Hammadi, Faryal Al Kilani, Fanning Li, Nandita Shukla, Waseem Abdul Latif, Vasiliki Owusu, Hoda Hassan, Maryam Bin Hammad, Hongbo Sun, Linbo Fan, Liping Jing, Shuxiang Li, and Zhifei Jiang.
