seminar "Emirates Libraries" It reviews the prospects for knowledge investment in the age of artificial intelligence
Cairo, 26 January / WAM / Today, the Emirates Library and Information Association organized a specialized symposium entitled “Prospects for Knowledge Investment in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States and the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, at the organization’s main headquarters in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of an elite group of prominent Arab leaders, experts and specialists in the fields of knowledge, libraries, information and digital transformation.
Participating in the symposium were His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakad Al Ameri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, His Excellency Dr. Imad Issa Saleh, President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, Dr. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the National Archives and Library in the country, His Excellency Fahd Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Library and Information Association, along with a number of academics, researchers and specialists from various Arab countries.
The symposium discussed a number of specialized scientific topics, most notably the use of artificial intelligence techniques in producing visual content related to popular heritage, in addition to the challenges and risks associated with documentation processes in light of digital transformation, especially with regard to issues of credibility, long-term preservation, and protection of cultural memory in the digital environment.
The participants stressed the importance of enhancing Arab integration in the fields of knowledge and information and intensifying the exchange of expertise and successful experiences in a way that contributes to developing the knowledge work system, ensuring the sustainability of Arab cultural content, and keeping pace with the rapid changes in the digital age.
