The dignity of belief is reserved and the right to worship is respectful and sponsored in the Emirates

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al -Watan Fund, confirmed that the dignity of belief is resolved, and the right to worship is respected and guaranteed in the Emirates.

He said: «The respect and appreciation between religions, which the UAE and its diverse society cherish, did not chance, but rather the fruit of wise leadership and insightful vision.

He added: “His Highness the President of the State believes in absolutely a belief that recognition and appreciation of others is what gives us the ability to live together, and listen to each other, to form all of this, the solid basis of a peaceful and prosperous civilian, and the UAE continues thanks to His Highness’s directives, that peace when he roots in mutual respect and common values, is able to overcome different religious and cultural differences and backgrounds.”

This came during his speech at the opening of the open meeting sessions organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the Fund of the Nation with all religions on the UAE’s land to introduce the societal initiative launched by the ministry and the fund together to celebrate the “Year of Society”, which is the “Our Life in the Emirates” competition, which aims to participate all citizens and residents on the land of the state their experience and their vision of the Emirati community through writing in both Arabic and English.

The opening session witnessed a comprehensive speech by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and a documentary on the Emirati society, its diversity and richness, as well as a number of participants in the competition presented examples of their participation, to be an example for others, then the activities of the second session were launched under the title “An introductory session to participate in the competition”, which guarantees the presentation of a general idea about the competition and its goals and how to participate in it through simple and fast steps, as was distributed, as was distributed Two models of participation, on the attendance of religious and intellectual leaders, before the door for free discussion was opened about the “Our Life in the Emirates” competition, and the inquiries between religious leaders and responsible for the competition.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al -Darai, the Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, Afra Al -Sabri, the Director General of the Al -Watan Fund, Yasser Al -Qarqawi, Saeed Al -Dhaheri, and Dr. Hawa Al -Mansouri, and a crowd of senior religious leaders, thinkers and influential people in the Emirates.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said during his speech: “The UAE is a unique country, as we are a homeland in which mosques, churches, Jewish, Hindu and other temples meet without contradiction, but in peace and understanding.

He welcomed the attendees, saying: “Your presence reflects your continuous commitment to promoting the values ​​of peace and mutual understanding, and spiritual harmony within the Emirates and all over the world, because you embody the sincere feelings of our diverse homeland, and you enrich your religious societies as a living fabric in our society, and you contribute to forming our common moral link, our collective affiliation, our cultural strength, our belief in the values ​​of tolerance and brotherhood Humanity.

He added, “I am pleased to invite you to join an important national initiative, sponsored by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, in cooperation with the Fund of the Watan, in celebration of (the year of society), it is an initiative that celebrates the experiences of real life for everyone who considers the Emirates its country, through writing, narrating stories, and other creative expression forms, which is a competition (our lives in the Emirates).”

He stressed that the goal of this initiative is simple, but it is deep, because it represents the invitation of all members of society, of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs, to share his personal story about the meaning of the UAE for him, explaining that participants can write a short story, poem, message, article, or contemplation of both Arabic or English, to express what they mean to live in this dear country, where peace, security, diversity and freedom of belief are not just slogans, but a tangible reality.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan added: “(Our life in the Emirates) is not just a literary competition, but rather a testament to the success of our common humanity, and a living archive of how the UAE is a beacon for tolerance in the contemporary world.”
