This came in the wake of the response of the Department of Child Protection and Women in the General Administration of Human Rights, to a report by a 10 -year -old child, in which he complains about the excessive cruelty of his father, which reached the limit of severe beating, leaving his little body as bruises and clear bruises, he tried repeatedly to hide it in front of his peers at school.

In detail, the director of the Children’s and Women Protection Department, Lt. Col. Dr. Ali Al -Matroushi, said that the report was received from the child, “A.A.” The 10 -year -old, through the “Protection” service available in the Dubai Smart Police application, complains about the excessive cruelty of his father, which he suffers from alone, without his younger brothers, which made him isolated not aware of the mistakes he commit His school performance decreased, and guided him to the necessity of reporting through the Dubai Smart Police application.

He added: “The child was not daring to complain for fear of punishment, but the social worker at the school noticed separate bruises, paleness in the face, and by approaching the child and talking to him, the specialist pushed him to ask for the help of Dubai Police, until his father’s harsh treatment stopped with him.”

Lieutenant Colonel Al -Matroushi said, “We summoned the father of the child, who confirmed that he does not intend to curse his son, but he is the eldest son among his sons, and he follows with him the same method on which he grew up, thinking that this method of education will make from his son a solid, solid person, so he continued to taunt him, and deal with him with excessive cruelty that reached the point of multiplication as a method of raising and evaluation, causing him with bruises and clear effects on his body And gradually isolated from his peers. “

He stressed that the team specializing in the Department of Child Protection and Women spoke with the father, who pledged to change the method of his dealings with his child. Noting that the administration takes the appropriate legal measures in this regard, and to emphasize the father that this method of education is completely wrong, and the law is punishable. Lt. Col. Al -Matroushi pointed to the continuity of the Dubai Police by providing subsequent follow -up to the child and communicating with him periodically, and to provide appropriate social and psychological rehabilitation and counseling in cooperation with the partners.
