Abdullah bin Zayed confirms the UAE’s support for efforts to a ceasefire in Gaza

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met the opposition leader in the State of Israel.

His Highness, Bayyir Lapid, and took place during the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, discussed the advanced bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two sides discussed the overall regional developments and developments in the Middle East, and the efforts of the international community to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed during the meeting the UAE’s support for the efforts of the international community aimed at reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, release all hostages, and avoiding the expansion of the conflict in the region.

His Highness also stressed the importance of supporting the efforts made to enhance the response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and to provide a mechanism that allows the flow of aid to civilians in a way that is safe, sustainable and without obstacles.

His Highness pointed to the need to work to find a serious political horizon to restore negotiations to achieve a comprehensive peace based on a “two -state solution”, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the foundations of security and regional stability, and ending extremism, tension and escalating violence in the region.
