Abu Dhabi, July 5 / WAM / under the direction of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, the slogan “Hand in hand we celebrate in the fifty” was approved to be the official slogan for “UAE Women’s Day 2025”, which falls on August 28 of each year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the General Women’s Union, in A national celebration embodies the community partnership and the continuous achievements of Emirati women for five decades.

This guidance comes within the framework of the announcement of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, to allocate in 2025 to be the “year of society” in the UAE under the slogan “hand in hand”, and embodies the state’s vision in promoting the spirit of national solidarity, and consolidating the position of Emirati women as a key partner in the process of building and national development.

The slogan of this year bears “hand in hand we celebrate in the fifty” deep national and humanitarian connotations, as it expresses the participatory spirit that distinguishes the Emirati model in empowering women, as it stresses the importance of continuing the march of progress and prosperity with integration between all groups of society.

The adoption of this slogan comes in the context of the ongoing efforts led by the General Women’s Union under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates” since its foundation in 1975 as a national institution supporting women’s issues, and an umbrella that establishes its presence at the heart of the state’s development project.

Through the enlightened directives of its Highness, the Union contributed to building an integrated system based on empowerment, and is based on the values ​​of identity, solidarity, and societal partnership.

The Emirati Women’s Day is a national occasion for pride in the achievements of women, and the renewal of the covenant to continue working hand in hand with men, in light of the vision of the wise leadership that believes that empowering women is an empowerment of the entire homeland, and that investing in the capabilities of women is a lever for development and sustainable renaissance.
