761 fires in Türkiye within 10 days and the destruction of villages in Izmir

In Türkiye, during the past 10 days, 761 fires erupted, which constitutes about a quarter of the total fires this year, according to a statement by the Turkish Telecommunications Directorate

The authorities indicated that all fires were controlled, including 20 large fires that erupted in the states of Izmir, Sakaria, Hatay, Manisa, Istanbul, Borsa and Bill Jack.

In Izmir alone, more than 228 homes were damaged, according to the Minister of Interior Ali Yerli Qaya, noting that the affected people will temporarily resort to residential containers, and tens of thousands of residents were evacuated in other areas.

It is reported that Türkiye has 27 aircraft and 105 helicopters for fire control, according to official figures.
