"Economy and tourism" 3 awards are won during a conference "Gowry Media 2025" Singapore
Abu Dhabi, July 7 / WAM / The Ministry of Economy and Tourism won three awards within the activities of the “Gowry Media 2025” conference, which was hosted by Singapore, within the category of trade and industry for three leading national initiatives that reflect the strategic direction of the UAE in supporting the new economy, modernizing the government work system, and accelerating digital transformation.
The ministry won the award for the best digital initiative, for the platform “National Economic Registry – Nemo”; And the Award for the year initiative in the government sector, for the initiative “100 companies from the future – Future100”; The Administrative Development Program Award for its efforts in developing services within the initiative “Teling of Government Bureaucracy”.
The Ministry stressed that the UAE has succeeded in developing a pioneering work system in all economic and developmental fields, noting that winning these awards reflects the Ministry’s efforts in supporting innovation, empowering entrepreneurs, developing government performance, and promoting digital governance, in line with the targets of the “UAE 2031” vision, by achieving the most leadership and superior system in the world by the next decade.
It is noteworthy that the platform “National Economic Registry – Nemo” is a national platform that provides a unified and reliable database and information for commercial licenses of facilities and companies at the level of the Seven Emirates, and to unify the procedures and requirements of establishing business and practice economic activities in the country through one national portal, which contributed to expanding the economic impact of government initiatives.
The “growth” platform uses the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence applications to analyze huge data, provide accurate and reliable information, and provide pre -emptive services to large segments of the business community in the country, including decision makers, businessmen, investors, and entrepreneurs, as it allows the possibility of inquiring about data and information of any commercial license in the country, among more than 2000 economic activities at the level of the seven Emirates.
As for the “100 companies from the future” initiative, it receives more than 1100 requests annually, and during the year 2024 it recorded a 30% increase in the participation of entrepreneurs and citizens, which reflects its active role in promoting diversity and inclusion in the environment of startups.
In November 2023, the UAE government launched the “State Bureaucracy” program to simplify and reduce procedures and abolish unnecessary requirements, within the framework of the guidance of the rational leadership to consolidate a future pioneering experience that adopts facilitating people’s lives, enhancing a stimulating business environment, and attractive to minds and talents.
