The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Customs of Abu Dhabi expect a memorandum of understanding to enhance digital integration and exchange data

Abu Dhabi, July 8 / WAM / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a comprehensive institutional framework for exchanging information and data and activating digital integration between the two sides in a way that contributes to providing distinguished services that establish the principles of partnership and coordination and expand joint cooperation, and in line with the comprehensive strategic plan of the Abu Dhabi government and the UAE.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Omar Obaid Al -Hossan Al -Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Rashid Lahaj Al -Mansouri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, in the General Court of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The memorandum aims to provide an integrated digital system to exchange data between the two sides through the safe electronic linking, ensuring the effectiveness of the information sharing, its governance, enhancing its protection, and providing interconnected smart services that meet the needs of customers with flexibility and high quality.
His Excellency Omar Obaid Al -Hoss Al -Shamsi stressed that the partnership with the customs of Abu Dhabi through electronic linking and exchanging data within a safe technical environment is a basic pillar in supporting digital transformation and achieving the targets of the bureaucratic tolerance program.
He said that the ministry adopts an innovative approach in providing services by employing artificial intelligence and modern technologies, with the aim of developing a smart and proactive service system that contributes to reducing time and procedures and achieving a qualitative impact in government performance that enhances the quality of life and keeps pace with the aspirations of society.
For his part, His Excellency Rashid Lahaj Al -Mansouri expressed his pride in this constructive cooperation, stressing that the memorandum of understanding represents a pivotal station in the efforts of Abu Dhabi Customs towards promoting digital integration with government agencies, in a way that contributes to improving the efficiency of customs process, raising the level of services, and achieving the highest standards of institutional excellence, in support of Abu Dhabi’s ambitions to be a leading global center for trade and smart services.
Al -Mansouri added: The exchange of data and electronic linking with strategic partners is a top priority in the future vision of Abu Dhabi customs, which is an essential element in building a smart customs system that contributes to supporting the state’s plans to build a diverse and sustainable knowledge economy, and to strengthen the Abu Dhabi site as a global trade center.
