“Abu Dhabi Entrepreneurship” launches the “Young Emirates Merchants” Award

The Abu Dhabi International Entrepreneurship Festival launched the “Young Emirates Merchants” Award, under the patronage of Sheikha Rawda bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a step aimed at empowering children and young women and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship in the UAE.
The award aims to prepare a new generation of entrepreneurs, by instilling the concepts of innovation, responsibility, independence and financial awareness from the early stages, in addition to providing participants with practical skills that enable them to transform their ideas into realistic projects.
The award is being developed in cooperation with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, which reflects integrated efforts to support young national talents and provide an integrated platform that allows them to explore the world of entrepreneurship in an interactive and practical manner.
The award is also consistent with the UAE’s trends in building an economy based on knowledge and innovation, enhancing the role of future generations in supporting sustainable development, and consolidating the culture of the award and production.
Sheikha Rawda bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “Empowering emerging generations with entrepreneurial skills is a real investment in the future of the nation, and instilling a culture of innovation and self-employment from a young age contributes to building a generation capable of leading the economy of the future with confidence and efficiency.”
Cooperation with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in developing this award falls within the Fund’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs at various age levels and promoting a supportive environment that allows young people to explore their abilities and transform their ideas into sustainable projects.
