US Secretary of State: Optimistic about the Gaza Agreement

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today that the United States is optimistic about reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

In an interview with reporters, Rubio added that the American envoy Steve Witkev is also optimistic that indirect talks will be held soon.

“I think we are closer, and perhaps closer to what we have been for a long time,” he said at the Southeast Asian Countries Association (ASEAN) in Malaysia.

He added that he spoke with Witkeov yesterday evening, regarding the Gaza war.
