Shafiontek and Anniva to the Wimbledon Tennis Championship final
London, July 10/ WAM/ Polish Ija Chefiontek qualified for the Wimbledon Tennis Championship final, for the first time in her professional career, after beating Swiss Plinda Bensic, in the semi -finals held this evening.
The eighth seeded in the championship succeeded in settling the match with two groups without a response, by (6-2) and (6-0), within an hour and 12 minutes, to ensure its seat in the upcoming final.
In the American final match, Amanda Anisimova, the thirteenth seeded of the championship, faced a heavy caliber surprise by excluding the first ranked world, Arena Sabalinka, in the other semi -finals.
Anisimova managed to outperform Sabalinka with two groups to one, with a score of (6-4), (4-6), and (6-4), in a match that spanned two hours and 37 minutes, to reserve its place in its first final in Wimbledon.
