“Emirates Aluminum” inaugurates the experimental project of “Solcolphriti” technology

Emirates International Aluminum Company launched the recent reduction cell within the experimental project of smart melting technology from the new generation at the Tawila site, in a preliminary move to adopt it on a large scale in the future.
The experimental project is an essential pillar to support the company’s future growth, and to consolidate its leading position in the field of melting technologies worldwide. The technology of «EX» is the tenth generation of melting technologies developed by the company, and is designed to increase aluminum production while reducing energy consumption and emissions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates International Aluminum Company, Hamid Al -Shammari, said that “the technology (Ex) enhances the UAE global position for aluminum as a leading company in the aluminum industry sector worldwide,” stressing their aspiration for the adoption of this technology in the company’s upcoming project in Oklahoma, which will be the first new facility for the first aluminum production in the United States since 1980.
He explained that tests will be carried out using a repeated “alumina” from the “Boxet” imported from several countries to prove the flexibility of technology and its ability to apply globally.
For his part, the CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, Abdel Nasser Bin Kalban, stressed that “the experimental project of the new EX technology is a strategic step for the company, and the latest achievements of (Emirates Aluminum) leading throughout its long history in the field of technological innovation,” explaining that the performance of the reduction cells with the “EX” technology during the first weeks of the initial operation exceeded expectations, which reflects the great capabilities For technology.
Work began to create the ten experimental cells of this technology in late 2024, and the first cell began to work in mid -June.
