“Dubai Chamber” reviews the role of comprehensive partnership agreements in developing the services sector

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade, organized a workshop to review the role of comprehensive economic partnership agreements concluded by the UAE in enhancing the growth of exports of the local services sector.
A statement issued yesterday stated that representatives of specialized business groups in the services sector that operate under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce participated in the workshop, where the focus was on the contribution of comprehensive economic partnership agreements in promoting promising commercial and investment opportunities in front of the national private sector, expanding the prospects for the growth of the local services sector at the global level, and increasing opportunities to export services.
The workshop reviewed ways to benefit from the various economic sectors from comprehensive economic partnership agreements, and their contribution to developing the work of local companies operating in the services sector, and supporting the expansion of their business globally, including business services, communications, engineering, construction and distribution, in addition to environmental services and education, as well as the financial services and insurance sector, health and social services, tourism and travel, as well as entertainment, cultural and sports services And transportation services.
During the workshop, the provisions of the agreements and their role were reviewed in enhancing the state’s position as a major commercial portal for exporting goods and services. The advantages of these agreements that include enhancing access to global markets, reduced or canceling customs duties were defined, in addition to facilitating customs procedures, and providing clear and transparent rules, as well as enhancing competition on a fair trade.
During her opening speech, the deputy head of the business community support sector in the rooms of Dubai, Maha Al -Qarqawi, said: “We are keen to support the private sector, enhance its awareness of everything related to the business environment, and to advance its competitiveness in global markets, especially since the comprehensive economic partnership agreements have positive and tangible repercussions on the business community.”
She added: “This symposium is an essential part of our cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade, to enable the private sector to benefit from the various opportunities provided by these agreements.”
Business groups under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce are the main pillars of development and development in the business environment, and the promotion of the public and private partnerships.
