61.2 million residents of “Cooperation Countries” at the end of 2024

The population of the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf at the end of last year reached 61.2 million, an increase of more than 2.1 million people, compared to 2023, at a rate of 36%, according to the latest statistics issued by the statistical center of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The statistics of the center issued on the occasion of the celebration of World Population Day, which falls on July 11 of each year, indicated a rapid recovery of the population in the GCC states from the impact of the “Kovid -19” pandemic, as the population since 2021 increased by about 7.6 million people, or 14.2%, which reflects the resumption of population growth at an accelerated pace after the slowdown in some countries during the period of the pandemic.
